Built by an email nerd who got tired of the usual options.
Hey, I'm Pete McPherson. Creator. App builder. Former CPA. Professional internet experimenter. Apparently, the kind of person who looks at email marketing software and thinks, "Fine. I'll build my own."
- [+] Hundreds of campaigns. Real lists. Real money.
- [+] Has used nearly every ESP on the market.
- [+] Built the one missing from the shelf.
I have lived on both sides of the send button.
I started online as a blogger and podcaster — mostly because I was curious how people build real businesses on the internet. Do You Even Blog became the place where I interviewed creators, tested ideas in public, and built an audience one useful piece at a time.
Email was always part of that. Not a side channel. Not a boring checkbox. The list was where the real relationship lived.
Since 2016 I've written hundreds of emails for my own brands, grown my own newsletter, and done freelance email work for clients. Content emails. Sales sequences. Launch campaigns. Welcome flows. Tag logic. Weird automations that made sense at 1 AM and somehow still worked the next morning.
I used just about every email platform. Then I kept wanting one that didn't exist.
Some apps were powerful, but bloated. Some were simple, but too limited. Some had great automation builders and terrible writing experiences. Some were affordable — until your list grew. Which is a very funny way to reward success.
I didn't want another giant marketing suite. I wanted the best parts: clean broadcasts, subscriber data that makes sense, automations that do what you asked, tracking you can actually use, and pricing that doesn't make creators wince.
Three rules. No exceptions.
Cyber Mail 9000 is the email app I wanted for myself. Simple enough to use every week. Strong enough to run a real business. Weird enough to have a name like Cyber Mail 9000.
Email should feel human.
Not like a funnel diagram fell into a thesaurus. Good email is useful, clear, timely, and written by someone with a pulse.
Software should get out of the way.
Write, segment, send, automate, and see what happened without opening fifteen tabs and a help doc.
Growth should not be punished.
Your list getting bigger is the point. It should not automatically turn into a monthly invoice jump scare.
People who'd rather send good emails than become ESP consultants.
- [+] Creators who actually write their own emails.
- [+] Small teams that need serious tools without enterprise sludge.
- [+] Founders who want clean broadcasts, real automations, and sane subscriber data.
- [+] People who know their list is an asset, not a hostage situation.
Cyber Mail 9000 exists because email still works. It just deserves better software.
No corporate fog machine. No "growth platform" nonsense. Just a sharp, affordable email tool built by someone who's sent the campaigns, written the copy, fixed the automations, and needed the software to be better.
